I made an appointment for the first time to get my teeth cleaned. They got me in on time, and an extensive amount of x-rays were taken (took 20 minutes)-- I then waited for about 10-15 minutes for a either a dental hygienist or dentist to come- the dentist came first, and barely got to look into my mouth and a dent. hyg came and took over to do a periodontal exam.. After she left, I waited another 10 minutes for the dentist to come back and look at my teeth. She then created a treatment plan and asked me if I wanted my teeth cleaned. I said "yes" (in which she was the 2nd person to ask me that, and I had said on the phone when I made my appointment that I wanted my teeth cleaned-- that's why I made an appointment). They sent me back into the waiting room, in which I waited 30 minutes before going to the receptionist who informed me that they do not typically do cleanings the first visit, they create a "treatment plan" and were waiting for someone to be available to clean my teeth. (I wish I would of been informed of this on the phone or by another staff member that day).. So after almost 2 hours of being at the dentist and not getting my teeth cleaned yet, I left. I felt more like I was a burden to get my teeth cleaned and did not want to wait longer.. Even though this is 3-5 minutes from my house, I will be driving the 15 minutes to my previous dentist (who I like, just wanted someone in the same town).
I absolutely LOVE Maple Shade! They are very professional, affordable, and friendly!! We see both the dentist and the ortho team! Dr. Whittet and his team is awesome!
I took my elderly mother to Maple Shade EP for her 1st visit this past week. Dr Shanahan tightened the wires that hold her partial in place, gave his recommendations, and had her fixed up in no time. She is very pleased with the results. My husband and I have been going to Dr. S. I think since the practice opened on Illini Drive. We've always been perfectly satisfied. Thank you!
